Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Manifest First (“the app”) is made by Zak Hodgson (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your words, your manifestation and your history stay on your iPhone. We use a few service providers to understand how the app is used and to run subscriptions, without your name, email or anything you write.
What stays on your device
These are stored only on your iPhone and are never sent to us:
- Your first name, if you give one
- Your manifestation and anything you type while writing it
- Your answers during setup, your session history, streaks and settings
- The apps you choose to lock. Apple’s Screen Time system gives the app anonymous tokens, so even the app cannot see which apps you chose or how you use them.
They are included in your iPhone’s own backups (iCloud or computer) under your Apple Account, as with any app. Deleting the app deletes them.
Your voice
When you say your manifestation, the app uses Apple’s speech recognition to light up each word.
- We never record, store or receive your voice or the transcript. Audio is processed live and discarded.
- On iOS 26 and later, recognition runs entirely on your iPhone.
- On earlier iOS versions, if your device can’t recognize speech on its own, Apple may process the audio on its servers under Apple’s privacy policy.
You can use the app without the microphone: type your manifestation word for word instead. What you type is only compared with your line on your iPhone and is never kept.
Screen Time
Locking your apps uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. Apple handles the blocking; we receive no information about your app usage, browsing or screen time.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card or Apple Account details. The app checks with Apple, on your device, whether your subscription is active.
Usage analytics and service providers
To learn which parts of the app help people and where they get stuck, the app sends anonymous usage events to our service providers. These are tied to a random identifier created on your iPhone, not to your name, email or Apple Account.
- PostHog (product analytics): which screens are viewed, the multiple-choice answers given during setup (for example where you heard about us), whether permissions were allowed, and whether a session was completed by voice or by typing. Never your manifestation, your name, or anything you type or say.
- RevenueCat (subscription management): your App Store purchase and subscription history (product, price, trial, renewal), so we can see how subscriptions are doing.
- Superwall (subscription offers): which subscription screens are shown and how they perform, so we can improve them.
Like any internet service, these providers receive your IP address and basic device information (such as iPhone model, iOS version, language and country) when the app connects to them. They process this data on our behalf under their own privacy policies: PostHog, RevenueCat, Superwall. This data is not used for advertising and is not shared with data brokers.
What we don’t do
- We don’t show ads, and the app contains no advertising or cross-app tracking code.
- We don’t sell or share your information.
- We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We don’t create accounts or ask for your email in the app.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the morning reminder is scheduled on your iPhone. No notification content passes through our servers.
This website
manifestfirst.app is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard web request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site. We don’t use cookies or analytics on this site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Children
Manifest First is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and rights
- Microphone, speech recognition, notifications and Screen Time can be turned off at any time in the iPhone Settings app. The app keeps working.
- Subscriptions can be managed or canceled in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Your data on your phone is removed when you delete the app. The anonymous usage and subscription data held by our service providers can be deleted on request: email us, and to help us find it, include the date you installed the app or your App Store receipt. If you wish to exercise any other right under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example if we add a service that handles data, we’ll update this page and the effective date above before the change reaches the app.
